Leaves Have been seeing you For quite some time Don’t know the exact time Born of the same tree Yet different in shape and age. Growing up together Having deep conversations Swaying in the breeze Nodding in unison In agreement to some conversation And sometimes swaying so arrhythmic Exchanging occasional blows Showing discontent For reasons unknown. Getting boozed after torrential rains Drenched so much, Some rain drops, like music And some like noise But enjoying every bit of it The ecstasy so lethargic Of happiness overdose A lull of calm sweeps in As the cold atmosphere sets in Nights so long Drowsing till dawn... The sun rays still A welcoming of homecoming Resuming daily chores Of unending duties Breathing and helping others breathe Growing old together Holding its pleasure Colour fades Energy recedes Crippling and eroding Waiting for the fall. Snap!! When leaves leave Dangling for a while Twisting, turning and swirling Descending, flying and swaying Finally reclining on the groun...
