Oh! From heaven I descended, Set foot on an alien land, A prolonged struggle set in For familiarity in a strange new world, I came to terms with the virgin habitat. My journey commenced, For perfection in an imperfect world, Vague future beckoned me, The call, how irresistible, Signalled by the enticing beauty of a thousand rainbows. Uncertainty enveloped me, Vacancy absorbed the space within me, I was man-led apart by indecision, To choose between the native land and alien shore, I pulled myself together. I succumbed to the murmur of my soul, Streams of thought surveyed my past, I longed for the stolen solitude, Which I often casually cast away, I felt pacified and delighted. I responded to the call of fate, It strengthened my attachment and faith, Rejuvenated once more by a meaningful travel, It dispelled the gloom of doubt, Little knowing ‘tis the gateway to the Great being.
